During a recent service visit in Eden, the customer reported that the toilet brush head had come off and disappeared down the pipe. While the toilet flushed and drained normally when tested, the customer was concerned that the brush head might have caused a partial blockage.
Additionally, a new hot water system was installed, which was thoroughly inspected to ensure everything was functioning properly. Whether the customer was dealing with blocked drains or needed pipe repairs, we were ready to help.
The Problem
The toilet brush head accidentally fell into the pipe. Although the toilet flushed and drained properly, the customer was concerned that the brush head could have partially obstructed the pipe, potentially leading to a blockage.
Issues like broken pipes or tree roots in pipes can cause similar drainage problems, which is why it was important to inspect the system to avoid any complications thoroughly.
The Keogh Plumbing Solution
To prevent future blockages, our blocked drain plumber inspected the pipes and discovered a toilet brush lodged inside. Using a drain camera, we located the obstruction and carefully removed it with a drain snake. After extracting the brush, we flushed the pipes to clear any remaining debris and restore proper water flow.
We also checked the hot water system and flushed it to improve efficiency. During our inspection, we found no signs of cracked pipes that would require pipe relining. After completing these steps, we confirmed that the plumbing system was clear and functioning correctly.
